I think I was lucky that I never had a professor like any of the "Ugly" ones and only maybe 1 or 2 of the "Bad" ones.

I agree that the French teacher should be reported by as many people as possible. No one should be treated that way whether it be in school or professional career... and I experienced a CEO who acted this way constantly.

I always loved my younger professors & TA's. Even hung out with a few of them outside of class. I think it's mainly a generation gap thing and how society is/was during different times that contributes to their teaching style.

There is no way all of them missed an assignment because of one dude's post. Hell, I bet most don't even read other student's posts, let alone the instructions.

Even IF some students complained, it isn't your problem if they're intimidated and it shouldn't have been brought to your attention. If they were intimidated, they could've engaged and learned from you to better their own posts.

Good on you for not taking the blame for others' laziness. It'll be funny if her class is forced to close due to no attendance. She won't have anyone to blame by then.

You couldn't define better the concept of libertinism, but in itself just for how it is it cannot be portrayed as anything else than freedom of spirit against social conformism. The beauty of it is just the possibility to be and not be at the same time, because the rule itself of behaviour kills the concept. There are many that tried to give a clear concept in history as current and social attitude, and the easiest part was the philosphical side, but for the rest it's open to interpretation. The aristocratic idea is just a wonderful clichè to play with intentionally because at the time it's born the ones with nothing to do could allow an easy life on other's expenses, and why not, in their arrogance and even lack of humanity. But again, the contrast is in their awareness as you said in much less words.

Oddly enough, I had your follow-up to #10 the day I wrote that. Someone assumed friendship even though she isn't even on my contact list! We never talk either. This individual, thinking she was my friend, thought I'd sell her one of my personal mods/builds. She asked multiple times and my answer did not change. When I told her I didn't help strangers, she unleashed butthurt on me for being labeled a stranger. Again, despite not being on my contact list or barely talking to me, she chose to expect shit of me and in the end tried to blame ME for her delusion of a friendship.

People can try to blame me all they want for their misplaced expectations. I don't feel guilty for shit that isn't my fault.

The "there's a human behind every av" is just a bullshit excuse people use to be psychotic and annoying. On one hand people say that as some lesson toward those who are "insensitive" in SL but on the other, the very same people who spout that tired phrase use it as some free pass to be weak and overly emotional.

I wonder why SL is the only place people regurgitate that idiotic phrase.

When it comes to groups, generally it's those who actually do shit and get things done silently who contribute. Meanwhile, people who are vocal about being loyal and a family tend to be the retarded bitches who do nothing but complain and don't contribute shit. I've had my share of a handful of fucktards constantly questioning my motives, while at the same time, doing fuck all to contribute to the group.

I hear agree that people use RL too much as an excuse to get out of things. In SL, RL is the sacred cow you cannot question which makes RL a very convenient excuse to get out of responsibility. People should just be honest instead of hiding behind RL. You either contribute or you don't-it's not like you'll be branded an ass for not wanting to contributed. At least admitting you don't give a damned is a lot more respectable than claiming to care, blaming RL and it being found out it was a farce.

Hitting the "I agree" button when signing up for the TOS, people are expected to be adults. However, the reality is that some players are far from independent adults. I am sometimes baffled when individuals tell me they have no money but I won't preach. If people prefer to have their lives rot away while living in the fantasyland of SL, that's their problem. Not mine.

I don't mean to comment a billion years later. My ability to comment was blocked by a technical bug the whole time.

I don't know why I ranted that on my blog. Maybe it wasn't just about Jager, but the attitude I encounter anywhere in general sense.

At first, it seemed like you'd end up bored taking classes on a subject you already know. Luckily, that is not the case and you are actually being enlightened. Oh, and you've got something pleasant to stare at during class too. Leave the man in tact when the semester is over, will ya? XD
