there comes the blunt force..
You all know that by now.
My profile says "Rude, crude and lewd" , but I will not be head on rude most of the time. I have commonsense, common courtesy and even have some delicacy to express my own thoughts without offending others.
But then my subtlety fails to be understood by the others, their lack of intelligence is not my responsibility. I have to put it in the words that they can understand it.
And they dare to be offended... *laughs
Noob: Where u from?
(fred: wha? Can't you just type the correct grammar without omitting 'y' and 'o'? It is not that you have a date in 20minutes... can be this boring from the start? Isn't my av interesting enough to start a convo?"~/me is sporting pointy ears pierced with gold and silver rings, with fabulous blond hair that none of the noobs ever seen, with slick latex pants with mesh shirt, with leather gauntlet. )
Fred: I'm from Daini Ken, my sim. It's a second circle of Hell.
(read:I am not going to tell you, where, in suburbs of sunny California with how many cars and how many bedrooms/bathrooms I have....)
Noob: No, in real.
(fred: why is it so intrigued by where I live? You are just rezzed in fucking second life.)
Fred: Wouldn't you like to know...
(fred: Take a hint, dumb-ass.)
Noob: Yes.
(fred: That's why I just said two minutes ago, I can't make you smarter, so dont forget to bring in your own brain from real life..., didn't I say that? I did.)
Fred: Look, many people in second life are not into telling everyone/total stranger they just met about their personal details. It's just common sense. If this is so important to you, then... I'm living in west coast US.
(fred: this is the most polite reply I can think of. Yea i understand you might know which time zone I'm in, or language culture you are in. But not that stupid general question for no purpose. You are lucky, puppy. because I'm wearing Mentor tag, otherwise you would be slapped with my pixel cock.)
Noob: Aren't you moody, today.
*snorts...
Fred: If the other person does not understand my subtlety or unable to take a hint, I have to be blunt, in that way, they will not mistaken my sincerity.
Noob: I'm just making a small talk.
(fred: You just have small brain. Can you imagine how many Noobs spawn in a day?)
Fred: Do you know how many times I have to tell noobs "hi" or respond to "Where u from?" question?

La damnation d Faust
http://www.metoperafamily.org/metopera/broadcast/hd_events_next.aspx
Just came back from Live broadcasting Live in HD MET.
Rarely performed opera by Berlioz. *La damnation de Faust*, of this production, combined with multimedia and interactive technology which was not available 150 years ago. But I have to say, knowing the composer's character, he would be pleased with this production. (I would think if they were alive today, Liszt and Berlioz would be in Met together, immensely enjoying the performance themselves. )
I only knew couple of pieces from this opera (yes, because recordings are also rare) which one of them, are from Erwin Schrott's CD, and the other is the famous "Hungarian march (also known as Rákóczy march) that I had a chance to see the manuscript copy of the piece in Budapst Liszt Museum.
I was very lucky to see this exhibit, on the bicentenial celabration of Berlioz's birthday back in 2004. There were always the question of who composed this first between liszt's Hungaria rhapsody and Berlioz's Hungarian march... but I have to say, teenage Liszt was already fiddling with this melody long before this opera by Berlioz.
I know, no one would be interesting in anecdotes between Berlioz and Liszt, so I just leave it at the fact that they were close friends for decades.
As everyone already know, the subject of Faust/Mephistopheles, which i cannot ignore, paid particular attention to the role of Mephisto... John Relyea was... deliciously, devilishly handsome. He has also added the subtle but unmistakable comic values to the *evil* plotline, so I really loved his role. (his towering physical presence, also helped a lot. Check out the link on his name. ... he is hot.Another hot baritone found from MET.)
Marcello Giordani's Faust.. well, he is a typical twinkling *bel canto* tenor who could hit highest notes I have ever heard on tenor aria. (yea)
I'm not sure about French opera with twinkling italian tenor. I guess its okay, since those are the tenors they had back in 19th century. Just not my thing.

Daini Ken sim ~ The church
Some strange reason, Daini Ken sim is enjoying random traffic, lately. I guess that is how the sim become popular with regular visitors.
I plan not to bounce anyone, unless they cause trouble for my friends. (If they walk right into me and try something funny, i will just do something funnier and it will be end up in here. so I'm kinda waiting for them.)
The community central figure is the church. Of course, that is not kind of church you see in real life.
As I always said, what is the point in perpetuating the real life, including trying to make a similar avatar like your real life (but skinnier), or building house that can be bought. What's fun in that. I lived on the beach once or twice in my life, I lived in the busiest city in the world once, I lived in suburbs, too. None of that would be anything different than I have done before.
The church, as you step inside... you will see the red velvet drapes, lace sheers and purple curtains. The exotic carpet were strewn around, furniture and devices that are too interesting to explain here. Among those seemingly religious paintings, there are few sensual pictures, too.
That is not all.
The church has secret dungeons in the basement. Of course, the basement used to be a crypt for the bishops, cardinals and place to put holy relics. Not anymore.
I am not your everyday vampire nor demon.
There are no family to join.
because you do not need to advertise them that you are one of us.
The important thing is that I know you. That is all it takes.
You came to me on your own accord, and nothing will ever change.
And those of you who never visited me, you should.
You can come whenever you like, and leave whenever you like.
I will not dictate your life.
******
All the perverts and the freaks, welcome.

The saddest thing is that... I know these kinda ppl...
Oh my god....
Any of you might remember the fact that I knew a whole bunch of nutcases in SL... but this. LOL
This is not just one isolated incidents. The saddest thing of them all ... We all know these kind of characters in SL.
Let's make it clear that i have nothing against fat people, or mental ailments. but then, you will get pounded when you are sitting in front of PC all day long and bitch about why you cant get laid,Why you don't have money, or why you don't have friends... PLEASE.
Just, get a life. And I do NOT mean, go to WoW. Get a REAL life.
And Raven.
This is for you. LOL
1.Get your facts right about yourself. LOL You forgot to mention one of your alt.
2.Do not lie about yourself in your own profile. It is just lame.
3.You don't read my blog? and You actually *have friends* (.... gasp!) who read my blog? I highly doubt both.
4.Small mind... yea. I think you are the one walk right into it. And you are the one banned from Trans TWICE. Not me. We all knew you were Rune Galicia the day you made that alt. Hint: if you make an alt, do not blog about your sorry ass in internet. I am just amazed that all the alts do the exactly the same thing and wear same thing and say the same thing as your main account. Oh lets not forget fuck same people.
5.A man reaching 40, pretending to be an gun slinging bad-ass like some teanage gamer fan-boy... Yea very, very, attractive. NOT.
6.Your belief is not the reality. You list lots of your beliefs in your profile, but that does not mean those are facts. And you think no one can see that? You need to get out more.
You think I have smaller mind than you? LMAO I'm not the one copying the original gift, the same night you received that item. In your small mind, "Oh fred can make this fabulous hat, I will copy it and sell them, so I can make some money." ... well, have you?
7. Read Dante's Inferno. Especially the Nineth Circle. It is for Traitors. You may learn something why you do not have any friends.
There is not need to kick the man who is down. (He deserved it, its only his pixel ass.)
I rest my case.

Aftermath of the land fiasco...
Letter from M linden to the residents...
/me rolls eyes.
This is almost too comical to take it any more seriously than high school project, really.
I just flew back in from 7 days japan trip, which I rarely got to sleep, so read and talk amongst yourselves.

Bait and switch, price hike...
LL's offocial blog
I just have to laugh, that new set up fees for open space will be 375$.
That is how much I paid for my full sim, 375$. Just a few days ago. LOL
Probably Jack Linden looked at my transaction, (because linden tried to ask us twice if the price was correct, delayed it for a day or two.) and say "Hey, 375$ sounds good! Yay!"
Well, it was not open space. It IS full sim.
Since we have about 2months till the change, no one will be able to sell these sims for whatever they paid... Only ways to just abandon right away. (since you dont want to pay another two months tier, I would suppose.)
As i stated and ranted before, if you want to keep the value of the money and security, do not pay into playing game, (ie; Second Life) save, or invest.
That statement is still true to this day.
Do not expect LL to be your moneymaker.
That is just dumb.
I do not expect to make any profit. These are managed within my disposable income.
If LL FXXX up the whole scheme ? I just abandon the land and walk out. LOL next month, I can keep my 295$, and go buy a new wardrobe, buy new game for my young charges, or eat out with my family and friends. Simple.
But I can understand the anger of my friend Noirran, who is just simply robbed by LL. She did nothing wrong. She followed prescribed used of Openspace sim. :/
Ya know, LL is asking us volunteer mentors how they could retain new accounts...
To me its very simple and easy solution for them. But they, apprently had not figued out, and thinking it will be the 8th wonder of the world. LOL
The whole land fiasco is just too funny to watch.

Sim purchase!!!!!!!!!!!!
"I can make my own rules, and then I can break them, too." -Frederic Prevost
(I just added after the post below. but Mark My Words. )
As I reported about mass exodus of Japanese residents below, there are bound to be the flood of sim/land deals way below market value.
Buy low, sell high.
That's the principle of commerce is it not?
********
Many of you probably remember my rants and the propaganda of saving money before. That was in connection to why some people invest(or rather waste their money) in Second life sim, when they are hardly getting by in their own real life.
Come on. Get over it.
Not everyone can afford to risk 300 us$ every month.
I am not get into this without consideration, and the principle is still the same.
The risk I am taking is purely in the range of my daily spendable income, and I have not cut back any of my existing investments savings, and other securities as I had them in place before.
My plan was to purchase the new private region from LL within 3-5 months. However, the deal I came across two days ago was hard to pass up, and fortunately for me, way below the price we could find currently on the market.
Since I have modest store profit and rental income to cover part of the risk, the actual cost of running/having a full sim, is even less than what I anticipated.
*********
And YES!
There will be a shrine for Mr. Schrott.
And in which sim you could find in anywhere in SL, that there is this handsome incubus welcoming you warmly with classical music and opera, coaxing you into some conversation so cultural you had never even thought of ever possible, while you mingling the group of international, intelligent and beautiful avatars?

Mass Exodus of Japanese residents from SL
I cannot say that I am saddened to hear the mass Exodus of Japanese residents from SL. MagSL, Japanese company found exclusively for SL development purpose announced sale of their half of their regions.
The expectation of *fabulous internet community* was not what they thought it to be? I have not clue. They would probably blame it on slow localization by LL. Starting with Japanese client which every single menu is translated either wrongly or amateurishly. LL did not think they had to outsource the translation of *Help* *FAQ* *Edit* and resorted to use *babelfish* instead.
OMG. I am born and raised, fairly educated in first 31 years of my life.Addition to that, I used to work for computer company, translating English materials to Japanese.
I think I am fairly qualified to know computer menu are translated correctly.
And these SL japanese client, I have no fucking clue what the each of menu does. That is how bad they are.
No support for residents. (Oh I know they hired a couple of Japanese Linden. LOL They rejected me without testing my Japanese skills tho. They asked me how to find particle object. That was their concern for Japanese speaking LL liason? LOL)
The announcements of localization few days ago came too little too late.
In Japan, the pioneering company announced pulling out of the market, then guess what? EVERYONE COPIES!
You didn't know? Japanese people are like friggin lemming, marching themselves to wherever. LOL
So there comes all those pixel companies, trying to get rid of their pixel properties. Incapable of even running a basic English ad in classified, resorting to Japanese language forum outside SL. Their offering price is comparable to the price of Open space region, for a full fledged sim.
Anyways
Survival of the fittest. a la Darwin.

M & M ...
Mephisopheles and Marionette, not your favorite candy.
Charles Gounod (1818-93, France) composed all forms of music but these two pieces which seemingly one has nothing to do with the other, are pulsing in unison in the complicated drama of our own lives. If you listen to them back to back, you will hear the musical similarity in theme as well.
Faust - Version 1860/1869 / Act 4 No.24 Sérénade: "Vous qui faites l'endormie"
This is Bryn Terfel, my other favorite bass-baritone.
In this scene, Mephistopheles taunts Marguerite for being knocked up and abandoned by Faust, in a very *rude, crude and lewd* manner. The sweetness of the serenade is not what it is, but the crude cynicism of Mephistopheles, who is not at all entirely innocent in this whole turn of *drama*.
"You should have waited to open your door, till you have the ring on your finger." , he torments and laughs at the girl...
Her brother challenged Faust in a duel for making his sister an outcast.
Guess what, he got killed by Faust, of course. (Has Mephistopheles anything to do with it? )

Then for the other, Funeral march of a marionette...
Two marionettes had a duel.
One got killed.
So the others are holding a funeral for their late friend.
Do you hear the cynical tone through out the piece?
How the life can be so short and wary. Even for the marionettes.
